Black Friday 2025 - FAQUpdated 5 minutes ago


We always love to hear from our valued customers, but during our Black Friday sales we receive (literally) thousands of inquiries through our Help Center with various questions and concerns. In an effort to minimize the number of emails and tickets we receive during this hectic time, we have compiled the following list of answers to some of our more commonly asked questions. Remember, every query that we have to take time to answer is time taken away from our ability to ship out more packages. So, help us help you get your package quicker by taking a few minutes to read through the following. We hope this helps make your ordering experience with us as smooth as possible and we thank you in advance for your order!


What, when and where is the sale?

Black Friday is an annual tradition over on VinegarSyndrome.com for all fans of genre film! The sale extends to Mélusine as well, including two new releases, major discounts + more! 

Mélusine's Black Friday sale will start on Friday, November 28th at 12:01 AM ET and run through Tuesday, December 2nd at 11:59 PM ET.


What will be on sale?

All Mélusine + Mélusine sub-label releases with release dates prior to May 2025 will be discounted 50-75% off SRP. 


What are the new releases?

We've already announced BEHIND THE GREEN DOOR from our new Mitchell Brother's Film Group line and the exciting second release from Pink Line: THE FILMS OF HISAYASU SATÔ: VOLUME 2. Once the sale goes live, we'll reveal our newest release from Distribpix + Something Weird Video, plus fun new merch items and more. 


How does order stacking work?

If you already have a Vinegar Syndrome Black Friday pre-order or plan to order during the sale, you can use the handy 'Add to my Vinegar Syndrome order' shipping option at checkout to combine any Mélusine orders with your VS Black Friday orders for free. Please just ensure you are using the same name + address on both sites for the orders to be combined.

If you have already placed a Mélusine pre-order or plan to order during the sale, you can use the regular 'add to my existing order' shipping option to combine your Mélusine orders.

If for any reason you would like your Mélusine + VS orders shipped out separately, please be sure to secure a shipping charge on each site, and reach out to our customer service team so they can ensure your orders remain separate.

Please note: We cannot stack VS orders to existing Mélusine orders. Please make sure to place your order on VS first, then use the 'add to my existing Vinegar Syndrome order' shipping option. 


What are the VSMC Sweepstakes?

You may have already heard of Vinegar Syndrome's Trash and Treasure Sweepstakes - we've certainly got some 'trash' and 'treasure' here at Mélusine too! During the sale, our VSMC customers will have the chance to use their points to enter a giveaway sweepstakes. Each day a lucky Mélusine customer will be selected at random to receive a trove of lost treasure! Last chance to submit entries for each day of the sale will be at 11:59 PM EST. Winners will be drawn the following day around 12:00 PM EST. More info + point value for entry to come!


Something I recently ordered is discounted for Black Friday - can I get a refund?

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer partial refunds on fulfilled orders or price match on existing orders. If your full price item hasn’t been fulfilled yet, please place an order for the product at the discounted price and reach out to customer service. We can cancel and refund the original full price item.


When will my orders ship? 

This is our first Black Friday in our brand new warehouse and we expect shipping times to improve significantly this year. That being said, Black Friday is our biggest event of the year between VS and Mélusine and shipping out thousands upon thousands of orders takes time, no matter how streamlined the system is. Our warehouse crew will be working around the clock to ship out your orders, but please allow us through the end of December to get all orders shipped out. 

Our customer service team is here to help with any issues and questions, but won’t know exactly when your order will ship. Please do your best to reserve all inquiries to order related issues or questions, and trust that your package will ship very soon. We promise we didn’t forget you and there are no issues with your order - we are always combing through orders to ensure everything is running as smoothly as possible. 

If you no longer wish to wait for your order to ship out after the sale, you can contact us to cancel your order, no questions asked.
